Case Study – Improved Water Tank Access
Our client had a sectional GRP water tank that did not conform to the strict HSE guidelines on confined spaces. A tank replacement had been proposed by other contractors but our client didn’t like this. The tanks were only five years old and in good condition. They were looking for a cheaper and more eco-friendly solution.
The Solution
CWS went to survey the site and suggested that we improve water tank access by installing low-level manway panels into the current tanks. We also suggested that we undertake other remedial work on the tanks aside from improving the water tank access.
This solution meant access would be at safer for any operatives carrying out maintenance work. It also reduced impact, waste and was much more affordable.
